10 FOODS TO HELP YOU LOOK YOUNGER

Coffee
Grabbing some java every morning doesn’t just jump-start your day—that cup of joe has bio-active compounds that may help protect your skin from melanoma (the fifth most common cancer in the U.S.), according to a recent report in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute. Researchers found that the more coffee people downed, the less likely they were to get the disease: Those drinking four cups daily had a 20 percent lower risk of developing malignant melanoma over a 10-year period than non-coffee drinkers.

Pomegranates
The seeds of this wonder fruit are bursting with antioxidants, like vitamin C, that prevents fine lines, wrinkles and dryness by neutralising the free radicals that weather skin. A study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that higher vitamin C intake lessened the likelihood of dryness and wrinkles in middle-aged women. Also in the fruit’s arsenal: anthocyanins (which help increase collagen production, giving skin a firmer look) and ellagic acid (a natural chemical that reduces inflammation caused by UV damage).

Blueberries
Boost radiance by popping some of these plump little beauties. Blueberries supply vitamins C and E (two antioxidants that work in tandem to brighten skin, even out tone and fight off free-radical damage), as well as arbutin, “a natural derivative of the skin lightener hydroquinone,” Zeichner said.

Avocado
Like you need another reason to love them: These rich fruits are high in oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid that helps skin retain moisture in the outer layer to keep it soft, plump and supple, Bowe said.

Cantaloupe
The sweet melon contains beta carotene, or vitamin A, which is believed to regulate the growth of skin cells on your scalp and sebum in the skin’s outer layer, Zeichner said. This keeps pores from getting clogged and causing flakes.

Watermelon
The summertime fave is loaded with lycopene.”This antioxidant compound gives watermelon and tomatoes their red color and helps skin stave off UV damage,” said nutrition pro Keri Glassman, RD, founder of NutritiousLife.com.Researchers believe that the melon contains as much as 40 percent more of the phytochemical than raw tomatoes; that’s the equivalent of an SPF 3, so use it to bolster (not replace) your daily dose of sunscreen.

Walnuts
Omega-3 fatty acids (found in the natural oils that keep your hair hydrated) and vitamin E (which helps repair damaged follicles) are two secrets behind strong, lustrous strands and these nuts are full of both, Lipman said. All you need is 1/4 cup a day. What’s more, walnuts are packed with copper, which will help keep your natural colour rich: Studies show that being deficient in the mineral may be a factor in going prematurely grey.

Eggs
Your fingernails (toenails, too) are made of protein, so a deficiency can turn those talons soft. Keep yours thick and mani-pedi-ready by cracking smart: “Eggs are a good source of biotin, a B complex vitamin that metabolises amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein,” said Dr Frank Lipman, director of Eleven-Eleven Wellness Center in New York City.

Kale
On the long list of this leafy green’s nutrients are vitamin K (it promotes healthy blood clotting, so the blood vessels around the eyes don’t leak and cause Walking Dead-like shadows) and loads of iron.

“Insufficient levels of iron in your diet can cause your skin to look pale, making it easier to spot blood vessels under the skin,” explained Dr. Howard Murad, associate clinical professor of medicine at UCLA. To max out the benefits, eat the veggie cooked, not raw.

Lobster
High in zinc, shellfish has anti-inflammatory properties that can help treat a range of skin annoyances, acne included.

“Zinc accelerates the renewal of skin cells,” said Dr Whitney Bowe, clinical assistant professor of dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. “That’s why you find the nutrient in many acne medications.”In fact, research shows that people with acne have lower levels of zinc than people with clear skin.

TORNADO PASSING THROUGH TOWN WAS CAPTURED ON CLOSE UP CCTV

Tornadoes are nature’s most violent storms. Spawned from powerful thunderstorms, tornadoes can cause fatalities and devastate a neighborhood in seconds.

A tornado appears as a rotating, funnel-shaped cloud that extends from a thunderstorm to the ground with whirling winds that can reach 300 miles per hour.
What can be seen over the following video…the glass shards flying around the store where the people were standing seconds before! Luckily they had sense enough to back up and take cover in time!

These people knew what was coming and did what any of us would also do. They were taking cover in that store in hoping the tornado would have passed them by but somehow everyone was devastated by it. Look at the mess that was created by the passing by the tornado. We can only hope for the best for the rest of the people around that area including the car who drove into the scene.

NOKIA 3310 IS OFFICIALLY BACK AND YAH IT HAS SNAKE

Nokia's 3310 phone has been relaunched nearly 17 years after its debut.
Many consider the original handset iconic because of its popularity and sturdiness. More than 126 million were produced before it was phased out in 2005.
The revamped version will be sold under licence by the Finnish start-up HMD Global, which also unveiled several Nokia-branded Android smartphones.
One expert said it was a "fantastic way" to relaunch Nokia's phone brand.
"The 3310 was the first mass-market mobile and there's a massive amount of nostalgia and affection for it," commented Ben Wood from the technology consultancy CCS Insight.
"If HMD had just announced three Android devices they would have barely got a couple of column inches in the press.
"So, the 3310 is a very clever move and we expect it will sell in significant volumes."

The original Nokia 3310 handsets had a reputation for standing up to damage
The announcement was made ahead of the start of the Mobile World Congress tech show in Barcelona. LG, Huawei and Lenovo are among others to have unveiled new devices.
Nokia no longer makes phones itself but manufacturers telecoms equipment, Ozo virtual reality cameras, and health kit under the Withings brand.

Long life
The new 3310 qualifies as a "feature phone" rather than a smartphone as it only provides limited internet facilities.
It relies on 2.5G connectivity - which has slower data speeds than 3G or 4G - and is powered by the S30+ operating system, which allows web browsing but has a much smaller range of apps than Android or iOS. Its single camera is also restricted to two megapixels.

The new 3310 weighs 79.6g (0.18lb) and has a 2.4in (6cm) display

However, its advantage over more powerful handsets is its battery life. HMD says the colour-screened phone has up to a month's standby time and delivers more than 22 hours of talk time.
It also comes with the modern version of the classic game Snake preinstalled.
Its launch price is €49 ($51,75; £41.51).
"It's almost like a digital detox or a holiday phone," HMD's chief executive Arto Nummela told the BBC.
"If you want to switch off to an extent but you still need to have a [mobile] lifeline, it's a brilliant solution.
"Why wouldn't you buy this like candy? If you see this hanging on the shelf at the checkout in a [see-through] package, then you'd just buy it as an accessory."
HMD announced three new Nokia smartphones - and an updated version of an old classic

HMD also confirmed the Nokia 6 Android smartphone would be released worldwide following its China debut in January.
The device has a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 5.5in (14cm) 1080p "full definition" screen and includes the Google Assistant helper - the search engine's rival to Apple's Siri.
It is priced as a mid-tier device at €229, alongside a glossy black special edition that costs €299.
In addition, the firm showed off smaller, lower-range Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 models.

MURSI PEOPLE - WONDER OF THE MODERN WORLD

Morsi tribe of Ethiopia. They live in the most isolated regions of Omo river valley. They are unique for wearing their traditional headdresses and the women also wear clay or wooden plates in their lower lips and ear lobes meant to mark traditional rights of passage from age 15 to 16.

The Mursi (or Mun as they refer to themselves) are a Nilotic pastoralist ethnic group in Ethiopia. They principally reside in the Debub Omo Zone of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People's Region, close to the border with South Sudan. According to the 2007 national census, there are 7,500 Mursi, 448 of whom live in urban areas; of the total number, 92.25% live in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People's Region (SNNPR).

Surrounded by mountains between the Omo River and its tributary the Mago, the home of the Mursi is one of the most isolated regions of the country. Their neighbours include the Aari, the Banna, the Bodi, the Karo, the Kwegu, the Nyangatom and the Suri. They are grouped together with the Me'en and Suri by the Ethiopian government under the name Surma.

The Mursi undergo various rites of passage, educational or disciplinary processes. Lip plates are a well-known aspect of the Mursi and Surma, who are probably the last groups in Africa amongst whom it is still the norm for women to wear large pottery or wooden discs, or ‘plates,’ in their lower lips. Girls' lips are pierced at the age of 15 or 16. Occasionally lip plates are worn to a dance by unmarried women, and increasingly they are worn to attract tourists in order to earn some extra money.
Ceremonial duelling (thagine), a form of ritualised male violence, is a highly valued and popular activity of Mursi men, especially unmarried men, and a key marker of Mursi identity. Age sets are an important political feature, where men are formed into named "age sets" and pass through a number of "age grades" during the course of their lives; married women have the same age grade status as their husbands.

5 Foods You Shouldn’t Keep in the Fridge

There are a number of products that can lose their nutritional value, taste, and texture pretty quickly at cold temperatures.

Avocados

When you put unripened avocados in the fridge, they quickly begin to absorb moisture through their skin and get soft. It’s best to store avocados in a fruit bowl.

Keeping potatoes at a temperature below 7°С (44°F) will make them taste unpleasantly sweet. Instead of putting potatoes in the fridge, store them in a paper bag in a cool (but not cold) place.

Tropical fruits

Tropical fruits quickly go rotten and become harmful when placed in the fridge. You can wrap them in several layers of paper and store them in a dry dark place.
The moisture in the fridge will eventually turn onions soft and make them unfit for consumption. In addition, excessive moisture facilitates the growth of harmful bacteria and mold.

5 Tricks That Will Make Your Life Comfortable

Thinking outside the box can significantly help to make your life a whole lot simpler, helping you to solve many irritating problems and get on with what you really enjoy.
Here are 5 little tricks which we’re certain will be useful to absolutely everyone.
To save your money from frauds, you can paint over the last four digits and put a sticker onto the security code. Some RFID cards can even be cut without losing their functionality. However, it’s still best not to damage your card.

A lemon can be the perfect replacement for detergent. It’s safe and environmentally friendly.

You can cut off the neck of the empty bottle and use it to seal packaging for such things as cereal or pasta.

You may use the bottom of a large plastic bottle to dilute or mix paint, whilst you can use the neck as a stand for the brush.

5 Different ways to Shine Old stuffs as New

Have you ever felt frustrated that you can’t make old or well-loved things look and feel as good as new again? Well, the chances are there’s a way to overcome this problem — you just didn’t know the secret.

Cast-iron pans
© content
You will need a disinfectant which you can use on your stove and some gloves, garbage bags and white vinegar. Spread a thick layer of the disinfectant on the old cast-iron pan. To make sure it doesn’t dry out, put it in a garbage bag and tie it up tightly. Leave the pan in the bag for 1-2 days, and then rinse off the disinfectant. Then apply a new layer of the same liquid and again put it in a tightly knotted bag for one day. Then wash off the dirt with hot water. Now, soak the pan in a mixture of warm water and vinegar (1: 1) for an hour and scrub the surface with a scouring pad. Let the pan dry. Preheat oven to 250°C and a place the pan in it for an hour. Then carefully remove the hot frying pan and apply a layer of olive oil all over it. The hot metal will absorb the required amount of oil, then you can wipe off the residue with a clean, dry cloth and again, put the pan in the oven — this time upside down. After 15 minutes, take it out, wipe it with a cloth and place it in the oven again for an extra 15 minutes. Repeat the process two more times.

Tiles

Clean the areas between the tiles using bleach. Mix it with water in a ratio of 1: 1. Don’t forget to ventilate the room while doing it.

White sneakers
You can make your sneakers shining white again using the following solution: one teaspoon of dishwasher cleaning liquid; three tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide; two tablespoons of baking soda.

Leather furniture
Wipe the scratches on your sofa with olive oil or baby oil using a cotton swab. Let the oil dry for an hour. If the scratch is still visible, repeat the procedure.

Terry towels

To restore your towels’ "fluffiness", rinse them in salt water after washing. Moreover, your towels will stay like new for longer if you dry them in a well-ventilated room or outdoors.
